Overview

The launch of ShipGo.com marked a significant milestone in expanding the family of brands, with the aim of transforming the travel experience. As a key player in this endeavor, my responsibilities spanned a broad spectrum: from leading the web and mobile user interface and experience design to assisting relationships with marketing agencies for market and user research. The project involved key contributions to the brand's messaging and identity, and TV commercials, from storyboards to model selection and final cuts. The objective was to seamlessly introduce ShipGo.com as a reliable solution for travelers, alleviating airport stress and improving overall travel convenience.

The primary challenge in launching ShipGo.com was to effectively communicate and educate consumers about the service offerings, as this is a new concept of shipping your luggage ahead of time. It was crucial to present these options in an easily understandable manner, ensuring clarity and transparency. Our objective was to embed a transparent pricing quote step prior to the booking process, making it intuitive for users. The broader goal was to establish ShipGo.com as a go-to solution for travelers, ensuring a stress-free journey and positioning it as a reliable, convenient service in the travel market.

Process & Execution

The process began with an in-depth analysis of the target market and user needs, facilitated by close collaboration with our marketing agency. This research informed the experience design for both the web and mobile platforms, ensuring a user-friendly and visually appealing interface. Particular emphasis was placed on simplifying the booking process and making pricing transparent, which was key to building customer trust and satisfaction.

Simultaneously, brand development and messaging were carefully crafted to resonate with our target audience. This involved creative and strategic decisions, particularly in the production of TV commercials, where every aspect from the storyboard to the final cut was meticulously planned to align with the brand's vision. The commercial was designed not just to advertise but to tell a story that connected with the viewers emotionally and highlighted the ease and convenience of using ShipGo.com.

Throughout the project, effective stakeholder alignment and cross-functional collaboration were crucial. Regular updates and feedback sessions ensured that all teams were aligned with the vision and goals of the launch. By keeping open channels of communication and adapting to feedback, we maintained project momentum and ensured that all aspects of the launch were cohesive and well-coordinated.
