Overview

My journey in Marketing Automation and Personalization has been defined by a strategic blend of technical expertise and innovative thinking. I have led the initial stages of roadmap architecture through to the hands-on execution of sophisticated automation tools. My experience spans across top industry platforms such as Sailhru by Marigold, Braze, Klaviyo, and others, encompassing everything from initial implementation to staff training. An essential aspect of my role has been the meticulous selection of vendors through detailed RFP processes and feature comparisons, ensuring alignment with company visions and needs.

A primary challenge in orchestrating a sophisticated marketing automation system was not only to enhance the customer engagement across multiple channels but also employ a data-driven personalization engine. The objectives were clear: select the most suitable vendor, ensuring effective onboarding and deployment of the tool, and creating an engaging omni-channel customer experience. Additionally a critical part of this challenge was to collect and leverage zero-party, behavioral, and transactional data, which was essential in crafting smarter, trigger-based communications tailored to individualized customer journeys.

Process & Execution

The process began with a comprehensive evaluation of potential vendors, focusing on how their features could meet our specific marketing needs and long-term goals. This involved an extensive RFP process, where I compared various features, assessed compatibility with our existing systems, and evaluated the potential for scalable growth. The decision was made not only on the basis of technical capabilities but also on the ability to integrate seamlessly into our existing workflow.

Once a vendor was selected, the focus shifted to the deployment and integration of the tool within our ecosystem. This involved collaborating closely with different teams to ensure a smooth transition, training staff, and establishing best practices. The aim was to leverage the tool's capabilities to its fullest - creating sophisticated, multi-channel marketing campaigns that could engage customers via email, SMS, social media, push notifications, and more.

In executing these campaigns, a significant emphasis was placed on personalization. Using a mix of zero-party data, collected directly from customer interactions, and analyzing behavioral and transactional patterns, I was able to design highly targeted and personalized customer experiences. This not only improved customer engagement but also provided valuable insights into customer preferences and behaviors.

The result of this meticulous process was a robust marketing automation framework that not only aligned with our company's vision but also significantly improved customer response rates and overall satisfaction.
